Description
Discover our Chasen, a small whisk made from bamboo wood, symbol of the tea ceremony in Japan. This small utensil is mainly used in the preparation of Matcha Tea to obtain a homogeneous and sparkling mixture. Thanks to its 120 thin, sturdy stems, our Chasen will help you make a delicious Matcha light with airy foam.
HIGH QUALITY, HANDMADE: Our Chasen is hand carved from a piece of bamboo according to ancient craftsmanship. This traditional technique preserves the natural robustness of bamboo and offers an authentic utensil ideal for preparing a Matcha with a delicate taste and creamy foam.
CHASEN WITH 120 STEMS – Our Chasen consists of 120 thin, durable stems, hand cut from a 100% natural piece of bamboo. Thanks to this precision work, you benefit from a high quality Chasen, with stems thin enough to produce a light foam, but also strong enough not to break.
MATCHA HOMOGENES, LIGHT FOAM: By using our Chasen to prepare your Matcha, you will get a creamy, frothy and delicate drink that will allow you to fully enjoy the delicious aromas that Matcha Tea has to offer. Thanks to its 120 fine quality stems, our Chasen is the essential tool for preparing a real Ceremony Matcha or a succulent Matcha latte.
100% BAMBOO: Our Chasen is made from a single piece of bamboo, split into several parts to obtain thin and sturdy strands. We selected a beige bamboo wood, also called “Hachiku” or “Awatake”, dried in the sun in the rice fields for several years before being used. This natural drying results in a light, solid and high-quality wood.
CHASEN MAINTENANCE: To properly maintain your Chasen, we recommend that you first soak it in a bowl of warm water, before each use, so that its stems soften gently. After each use, rinse it with cold water, without the addition of cleaning agent, then let it air dry by positioning it vertically, the rods facing up. Once dry, store it preferably in a cool, dry place.”
