This policy explains what information Only Bamboo (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit www.onlybamboo.co.uk, how we use it and the choices you have. We keep it as simple as we can.
Who we are
Only Bamboo is a UK website that recommends bamboo products for the home. We don’t sell anything directly; products are sold by Amazon and other retailers we link to. You can contact us at hello@onlybamboo.co.uk.
What we collect
- Usage data: like most websites, we use analytics (Google Analytics via Google Site Kit) to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are from. This uses cookies and similar technology.
- Emails you send us: if you contact us, we’ll keep your email address and message so we can reply.
- Comments: if you leave a comment, we store your name, email address, comment and IP address to help with spam detection.
We don’t sell your personal information to anyone.
Affiliate links and cookies
When you click a link to Amazon or another retailer, that retailer may set cookies so they know you came from our site and can credit us with a commission. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer and covered by their own privacy policies, for example Amazon’s Privacy Notice.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work, although some features may not.
How long we keep information
Analytics data is kept in line with Google’s default retention settings. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Comments are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it’s used. Just email us and we’ll help. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
